A hopeful romantic, with lots of stories to tell. As a child I acted out films when I should be asleep - I was the heroine in my pink nightie, my pillow was the hero! I love creative writing and the worlds it takes me to. Thanks for reading my story.

Hi Frana
Just in case you are still dipping into the site after the excitement of the winner being announced - I wanted to say that your post also made me look at your entry. I don't have a lot of time so I tend to focus on one or two entries when I can. So glad you have had a lot of support and advice which I wouldn't presume to add to, as it's all so good and helpful. I read that you just managed to sub before the deadline so your writing is fresh and raw. - which comes across but in a positive way. I can see you have lots of ideas, good dialogue and an individual approach to description. You have been really brave to enter and you should be more than proud of yourself. The reaction to your post from all these writers and readers has just confirmed to me what a great competition this has been and how generous people are with their time and support. It also confirms that you have a unique voice and people want you to carry on. I have found this such a positive experience and am going away with lots to think about and lots of work to do. I am so pleased for you that you feel better about it and hope to see you here next year!Keep writing ( you really should!)and keep wearing the purple hat - it's fab! Good luck Frana. Jo x

PS Charlotte- I really hope you are going to finish this.I would love to read it through to the end. I identify with your heroine and would love to find out much more about Jack. Your story made me smile, and I loved the comic touches combined with the pathos. After all - isn't that what life's like for a lot of us?We cry, we laugh, we rage, then we laugh, then we cry, then we do something mad and so on......Once you've dusted off your teenagers, scraped the no doubt rock hard playdough off the floor ( who invented that stuff?) and had some 'me' time - not necessarily in that order(!) - I hope you will be sending Anna and Jack on some further adventures. Take care and all the very best for your writing future. It's been a pleasure to read your work and all the other top 4. Jo x
