Hi Shivana. Thanks so much for the feedback - I honestly do appreciate anyone who stops by to tell me what they think. It's the best way to learn your strengths and weaknesses as a writer (I'm going to watch for 'overuse' like a hawk from hereon) and, as I've said before, I don't have anyone reading my work so this is an amazing forum for that. I just wanted to say that the dialogue between Caitlin and her bosses is essential to not only to show more of Caitlin's character (and, yes, Ella - her vulnerability - something that will become more and more apparent as the story progresses) but also weave in the external conflict that is going to have a huge impact on their relationship. I put lots of clues in that section of what is to come. Ella - Edgar or Heathcliff? My heart will always be with Heathcliff. I'm so glad you enjoyed what you read despite your preferences. Issy - thank you SO much for your vote and for coming back. I think you understand perfectly where I'm going with Kane. I hope that's reassurance enough. xx
