Lindsay, I wasn't going to take any further active part in NV, but hey...here I am with just a point or two I would like to raise.

Veronica Parin commented on your 'overuse' of the word evocative.

What I noticed in Chapter One, although not so much in Chapter Two, was the overuse of the word 'exhale'. Didn't bring it up in my review of the chapter as tbh, grammatical/spelling errors would be corrected by the editors before publication, so no biggie, but....the word does appear a few two many times for its own good.

Christine Mackenzie also said...."I put good money on it that the lipgloss she slicked on her lips prior to 'interviewing' the vampire has more of the same liquid on it that stunned him when he shot her colleague. ".....Oh no, please don't go down that route (sorry Christine).

To outsmart Kane once when he had her at his mercy was totally unexpected, and the manner in which it was done extremely inventive. However, to outwit him twice in the first few chapters would shatter my illusions, and diminish him totally in my eyes.

To misquote slightly....' Stupid, as well as reckless. Was he seriously the best vampire they had?'.

I really love that man at the moment, and I don't want my love affair to end abruptly. At least, not until those magic words "THE END".
