This gal is drooling over Kane and Caitlin is a likable heroine.

Your build up of tension and the promise of a face to face between Kane and Caitlin kept me reading, and yes, I want the whole story. Which says a lot because my limited reading time means I only allocate it to page turners.

Gushing done. Now for the rest. Grrr. I'm guessing it'll be a struggle to get in under the 10k word count, making the pivotal moment short and sweet. Pity.

Also, minor detail, and take this with the proverbial grain of salt... using 'evocative' 3 times in one chapter... once in the same sentence with provocative, then exacerbate twice (word sticks out) actually halted my reading, okay, jarred the flow. I didn't set out to nitpick - this is just an observation of my reading experience, and I can honestly say I tried to disregard the recurrence of these words. You're a wordsmith and a story teller, one who's understandably under pressure but as they say, the devil's in the details.

All the very best for the pivotal moment as I've no doubt you'll get through.
