Hi Eliana,

You mention you would like to see Kane more of a 'Dark yet loveable' man and not so much just a 'dark - question his decency' type character.

This is a great example of just how different readers see different stories, and what their expectations are.

My personal opinion is this approach would destroy the suspense and tension that has been built up to date, particularly as this entry is a Paranormal, where the rules are so very different.

Kane is meant to be an 'ambiguous' hero, and at the moment we don't know which way he will swing. As I see it, there are going to be "tears at bedtime" until Kane finds his redemption, and I want to be there on that dark and difficult journey.

To lighten his character at this particular point in time in the story would remove the hook that keeps most readers engaged - how can such a dark soul be redeemed.

Just my opinion, and I said earlier, re-inforces the fact that readers have different expectations.
