Chapter One

Lainey's world is rocked when she finds out she's pregnant. Her business is struggling and she's worried about making all those ends meet. Ben comes home on a leave of absence to help his grandma and escape the media glare--and meets an irate Lainey.

Chapter Two

Lainey discovers Ben is a reluctant gentleman and despite her best intentions, feels the beginning of attraction to him. Ben realizes he is in danger of feeling again--and that makes it even more important to keep Lainey at arm's length.

  • Hi Ami,
To be honest I didn’t really feel for the Heroine, I mean I could sympathize sure but feel her feelings her upset and pain, sadly no.
Though I do love the story, and how you painted the fact the father lives in L.A has this has that can’t/won’t move to her town, short of sets it up for the Hero, like fine you can’t be there fate will find her a man who can! Makes for a charming little romantic twist in shorts.
    Real sweet and Charming Story.
    All the Best
    Ella
