What happens when two very differents worlds collide? The last thing Kat wanted was a relationship – she was far too busy making a difference – and she certainly didn't want anything to do with the world of arrogant overpaid footballers and their

Kat Harper finds herself in a world she really doesn't want to be in - if only for an afternoon. Taking a young boy from school for a birthday treat to the big match with her best friend Dan is only the start of it all. Bring on Jules Davide - French stri
Read Chapter Two of "The Beautiful Game"
Kat Harper, primary school teacher and people's champion, had already made her mind up about top league footballers – arrogant overpaid and overrated. She was busy collecting further evidence for her case when she was felled by a shot from one of th

Hi Anna
Just to say so sorry you didn't make the final four and I do hope you are going to finish your story when you've enjoyed the final four's pivotal moments and all the goodies you've got lined up !You shouldn't feel disappointed at all- it's a great achievement to do what you have done. Keep writing and thanks for the inspiration you have provided. Best of luck. Jo x

Anna,
I left a comment about you finishing this story on the facebook page. One of the great things about your writing is that I can 'see' these two quite clearly in my head. I feel as if I know them and that's a great skill for a writer to have. I've enjoyed reading so many of the stories this year, it's been a tough gig, no doubt about it. So you should be terribly proud of yourself! My DH is gutted you didn't go through! But the stories that went through were so worthy, what can you do?
Well, you can finish this story, I want to know what happens and I need their HEA!
Good luck with this and if you'd like to email me ccmackenzie56@gmail.com please feel free.

Hello!
And THANK YOU!!!
First of all, a very heartfelt congratulations to the top four – they are brilliant! And now I can really relax and enjoy all the pivotal moments – coffee, shortcake, chocolates and a glass of wine – already lined up! And they're not due for four days!
Thank you so much for your votes and comments. Last night after the result, I read them again and everything felt – really good. Even when I realised I can't spell rankle! (I don't think I've ever written it down before – that's a good thing though) Thanks Cat! And the fact that Jules decided to change his name? Even spell check can't help with that one!
I will finish my story – for Melinda, Sian, Cat, Alice, Christine, Jane, Mavis, Jo and Sally because they wanted me to!! Well actually for every single person who left a lovely comment! But also because I want to know what happens as well!
Maybe some awful sense of disappointment will hit me later - possibly when I'm in the wine section at the supermarket – but I don't think it will, because I was just grateful to be here – and because thanks to you and to Mills and Boon this has been most energising and positive experience of my writing life.
Thanks again,
Anna x
ps Did you read the comment from Annli who had her tea knocked over by a shot at a football match? These things happen you know......
