Contemporary Romance

This category is intentionally broad because it can encompass many different types of story and settings! It’s all about a feeling and an attitude - are your hero and heroine modern, aspirational characters who reflect the lifestyles of today? Does their relationship explore emotional issues that women (and men) the world over are now faced with in their relationships?

It doesn’t matter if your story is sexy or sweet (although it still needs to have that all important sexual tension!), whether the story is set in a hospital or a hotel or whether the romance is a marriage re-united or love at first sight! If the attitude is up-to-the-minute and sassy, then this could be your category.
